 Return Policy

 

  • If you place an incorrect order:

If the customer makes and processes an incorrect order: Bookit Books will under specific circumstances exchange your order for the correct one, however the customer will be liable for any additional costs incurred through this process. (such as return shipping)

Alternatively, a customer can return the purchase at their cost, to be given a store credit (valid for the current year) if they do not want an exchange. (The book must be in good resalable condition to qualify)

 

  • Cancellation of a processed order by customer:

If a customer decides to cancel an order that has already been processed: the customer will be liable for all costs as the book would have already been packaged for couriering.

If the customer chooses to return the purchase it will be on their cost and they have an option to receive a store credit.

 

  • If we ‘Bookit Books’ deliver the wrong book to you:

In circumstances where you, the customer, receives the wrong order, liability and all costs fall on Bookit Books, given that the customer can prove it is a wrong order by confirmation of the following:

  • Your Shopify order number (This was sent to your email)
  • Proof of your purchase (this was sent to you via email)
  • A picture of the wrong book received.

The above three items should be sent to info@bookitbooks.co.za within 48 hours of receipt of the book.

 

  • If the customer changes their mind after having processed the order already:

The customer in certain circumstances can return the purchase. However, the following will have to be adhered to:

  • Contact Bookit Books as soon as possible on info@bookitbooks.co.za
  • Provide your Shopify order number (This was sent to your email)
  • Ensure book being returned is in good resalable condition
  • On receipt of the book and after assessing the condition of the book, the customer will be given a store credit (Valid for the current year)

 

  • If the customer receives a damaged or misprinted book:

If the customer receives a book that is damaged or misprinted, please follow the procedure below:

  • Contact Bookit Books via info@bookitbooks.co.za
  • Provide your Shopify order number (This was sent via email)
  • Proof of your purchase (this was sent to you via email)
  • Take and send a picture of the damage/ misprinted pages
  • Once checked and an exchange is approved, you will be asked to return the book and be sent a new one. (The costs will be Bookit Book’s responsibility).
